HOT, HOTTER, HOTTEST

It's too hot! Too hot to cook! Too hot to clean! Too hot to think!

I'm picking up some friends and.....

we're going somewhere to cool off.

*Disclaimer: These are not my photos. I found them at The Graphic Fairy

  1. Oh dear.. me thinks you might not have air conditioning. Is this true? Ugh! A damp, chilled frilly handkerchief on the inside of the wrist is a nice solution. The lovely ladies in your pictures would have known about this "cure".
Take care and try not to move around much.

  3. I love your little disclaimer about the photos! Those ladies look like they know how to cool off.

Aren't you glad these days we don't have to wear layers and layers of clothing in ALL kinds of weather for the sake of propriety??!!

  4. When it is hot here, I drive a mile and a half and let Whole Foods do the cooking!

  5. I agree! This week my oldest son is taking sailing lessons at a local lake that also conveniently has a small swimming beach. So while one of my boys is sailing the other one and I are parked at the beach - cooling off! Whew, it is HOT out there! Guess, that makes up for the chilling temps. of winter :)

  11. It was about a hundred here, so I sympathize with you. I ADORE the ladies in the car picture-very cool. I was hoping on the way home for a break in this awful heat. Something chilly, like 85 or something....hope your cooling off plan works!

  15. Thank goodness you don't have to wear clothes like that anymore! It's amazing how the heat and humidity can take it out of us.

  17. I have a frame of a line up of nude ladies in the 1920s in my bathroom which would perfectly fit in with your post. I loved this era...maybe because my 'Nonna' told me so many great and crazy stories from those days.

We've been having lots of heat, however, I fear for some where the heat is getting way too unbearable.
Hopefully the weather will calm down somewhat.

A small hello to Oliver ;o)

    Flavourful wishes, Claudia

  20. I hope you find a cool spot you can retreat to. I love the photos you found to share with us today. It's so nice to see that those old gals knew how to let their hair down. They look like they're having a wonderful time. I hope you find a shady haven. Blessings...Mary
