I Pressed "Purchase" and Autumn Salads

When all the information is filled in for airline tickets to Belize or Rotterdam or Hoboken, I have a hard time pressing the "purchase" button.  When my order from Penzey's Spices is completely filled out and checked three times, I have a hard time pressing the "purchase" button.  When......well, I'm sure you get the picture.

So it was no surprise that my finger waivered over this "purchase".

But I did it!  I pressed "purchase".  I printed out the purchase order.  I am sure that it is being boxed and rushed to the post office or UPS or FedEx at this very moment.  And I'm sure all of you are anxious to view my first photos.  I'm equally sure that you are hoping I'll stop with all the camera talk and move on to some other subject.

Fear not, I'm moving on to farewell to summer salads and hello to autumn salads next week or just as soon as the camera arrives.

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend filled with good food and good friends!!

  2. Almost 6 P.M and back up and running! Was able to save all my data!!! We don't know how much longer it will run, and I'm kind of afraid to turn it off. Thank you so much for your sweet e-mail, as you will see on Monday, I had a horrible day and you were one of the bright lights in it. Your friendship is important to me!! So glad to see the camera!!! It looks like mine, but mine is Nikon, I bet we have almost the same thing!! Cannot WAIT to see new pics with it and I want to hear all about it, in case I need a second camera!! It is not SLR, right? I cannot figure out how to work those. Have you been to those exotic places??

  8. You will have to let me know how you like your camera. My daughter has one very similar if not the same, and her pictures are very nice.
I ended up buying the Nikon D90, and while I love the quality of the photos, I did have some problems with it and had to have it looked at. Luckily it was before the warranty wore out, but their customer service was horrible, and I'm wishing now that I did buy a Canon!

I have been a big baby with it too, and haven't don't too many manual photos with it. I bought the Nikon for dummies even, and I still have it on auto.
I can say this though, when I use my husbands little point and shoot in restaurants, like my latest post, you can certainly see the difference! The Nikon is so heavy and large, I can't be too secret agent with it in restaurants.

Can't wait to 'enjoy' some of your Autumn salads!!!!! Hope you are having a great time with son... Our weather has finally turned cooler --and I LOVE it...

  10. You will love the Canon! I was raised on Nikons but the Rebel is wonderful and I don't even use it to it's "full capacity!" I can't wait to see what YOU do with it. Enjoy!!!

  13. GOOD GIRL! you pushed that button. great job and you will LOVE it. i can't wait for your first post of how you love it. funny thing is, when i order i have the same problem. i am at heart a cheap, cheap person. I hate spending money and have to force myself to buy things even when i can afford them. I am almost the opposite of a shopaholic. did you order the long lens also?

  20. Oh, Bonnie! I have been going through all the posts I have missed and where do I start? All of the recipes look wonderful; I am dying to try the Fresh Express greens; I loved getting to see a photo of you; and, thank you for your story on September 11. It is a day forever etched in our memories. God Bless America.
