Just playing around

After spending numerous hours (and getting advice from my personal blogging photographers), I finally decided to just plug the Canon into the IMAC and see what happened.  It worked just like the old camera.

Day of Joy

Well hello dolly!
Kokeshi dolly, that is

Lace Cap Hydrangea turning color and spilling over the porch railing.

An unusual tuberous geranium that has bloomed all summer.

A standard (?) hydrangea that dries itself.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me.  I'll be back with more questions for sure.

  1. you did just waht i did, love the photo of the photo, and the doll. there is nothing in my house that has not been "shot" over and over again. that is how i got the Madsnapper handle from hubby, i snapped any and all. the self drying hydrangea is my favorite because of the details when i enlarged it, all crystal clear. keep snapping and have fun and congrats on your first safe and sound download. glad it worked out to be so simple.
the word verification has me laughing it said ovennut

  2. The photo of the hydrangea is lovely as its color. Dried hydrangeas indoors have always been my favourite indoor plant. ;)

  3. Well, my dear, you are definitely one up on me (perhaps more!!). I don't even own a camera. I haven't yet evolved from the 35 mm age, so I don't take photos anymore. Any photos on my blog are from my kids' cameras...and they upload them for me. I have finally learned how to get them from the computer onto the blog, but I wouldn't have a clue how to get onto the computer. Perhaps one day I'll get with the times and learn the art of digital photography, but for right now, I am hopelessly digitally challenged.

Hope you're having a lovely day,
    Patti

  9. Fun huh?!! I love how user friendly the macs are with all the different cameras. I have a Nikon D90, and my husband has a Sony point and shoot, and all you have to do is plug it in and turn on the camera! Love it. My PC is a NIGHTMARE.

    Have lost of fun :)

  10. Hi Bonnie, I love these photos! I was so happy to see your kokeshi doll. When I was a little girl I used to have a collection of them. I saw some at a yard sale recently but they were asking for too much money for them. I reluctantly passed.

    The weekend's coming!

  13. Bonnie...it's nice to see how your challenging yourself and succeeding.
I personally am not looking forward to my very old dinosaur digital to go on the fritz because I quite frankly don't need one more thing I to learn on the tech side of things.
It seems that everyday, I'm reading about learning something or other...I'd love to give my brain a tiny break ;)

Your photos so far have turned out lovely...keep it up ;o)

    Ciao for now,
    Claudia
