Friday Photos with the Canon Rebel-The Dining Room

We enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving with dear friends.  Even though the crowd (four of us) was small, the cheer was not.  Talk, of course, turned to Thanksgivings past when our children were gathered around the table with us.  We missed them but gave thanks for their good health, happiness and success.  And, of course, we enjoyed telephone visits with them during the day.

Since I'm all cooked out, I thought I'd share some more glimpses into my home.  This time the dining room.  I used full auto (but I'm working on being my own "boss") with the Canon.  All natural lighting.

Looking into the dining room from the kitchen.

The centerpiece--Clementines on a cake stand.

Simple setting of silver flatware, Fiestaware plate and pink depression glass goblet.

Wishing you all a nice weekend with plenty of leftovers!

  6. Bonnie,
YOu have a stunning dinning room! It is warm and inviting, just like you! I love the clementines on the cake stand. What a great idea.
I'll borrow that idea and add some greens for Christmas. Thanks.
I have a cannon Rebel too. I am still such a novice at it. I stumbled on taking pictures on the AV setting by accident and haven't really done much past that.
I think it is a wonderful and easy camera. I am hoping for a macro lense for Christmas.
Have a great rest of your Thanksgiving weekend.
    xo Yvonne

  19. What a lovely home! I bought a Canon Rebel T1i about a month ago. We're still dating, but I'm starting to fall in-love with it. It's amazing what happens when one takes the time to read a manual! It's a whole new world, isn't it? I now take hundreds of photos at a time. Our Thanksgiving was tiny (just the two of us) but still a day to focus on our blessings. Glad you did, too.

  20. I think it just takes practice, and plenty of it to get the hang of it but I think you captured the warmth of your dining room quite nicely.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

OOh, and I like your new header too!

I always enjoy hearing from you, my blogging friends.
