DAKOTA'S DEVIL MAY CARE
We are seeing spots again!! I met the Dakota Dalmatians' Van at the Valparaiso Fairgrounds yesterday and picked up Oliver. I was happier to see him than he was to see me. In fact, once he was in my car, he started to loudly protest. I quickly riffled through the cds and found a soothing classical selection to see if it would calm the savage dalmatian. Oliver (we can't change his AKC name but we have chosen "Oliver" as his call name) started to howl, somewhat in tune, with Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals". Within ten minutes, he fell asleep in the back seat for the rest of the ride home.
"Is this my new digs?" I think he's wondering where the rest of the dogs could be. We hope he'll be happy as an only dog.
It turned out to be a dark and stormy night. At one point, we had to head into the basement due to a tornado warning!! Oliver thought getting under a table would be added protection.
We are looking forward to life with another dalmatian in the house.
