I'll cast a quick look in your direction when Andrew and I have an early morning breakfast at The Grange. I'll pretend to be watching the paddocks where the Tennessee Walkers, Missouri Fox Trotters, Palominos and other horses get their early morning walkabout and rubdown.
I'll cross your path when we head over to the agricultural buildings to view the flower show and see the winners in the fruit and vegetable categories.
I'll remember it all with great fondness.
I'm resolute in my decision. This is goodbye!
Goodbye Midway! Your bright lights and blaring music no longer attract me. Your many striped tents and food wagons mar the beauty of the undulating hills and dales of our fairground. The old covered bridge strains with the weight of your traffic.
It was swell while it lasted!
