The long anticipated arrival of From a Writer's Kitchen in book form was realized yesterday. Though not quite as well attended as any of the Harry Potter book debuts, it was still quite a momentous occasion.
It's nice to hold the book and browse through it while sipping a cup of coffee with my feet up.
What, you are wondering, does a just-published-in-print food blogger serve at a celebratory dinner?
Why Thai take out, of course! We feasted on pad Thai, pad see ewe and som tum (spicy green papaya salad and a favorite of the author's).
I'm pleased to say that the first printing has sold out!
Hey! You did it! It looks very nice! Many happy hours of remembering all you wrote and photographed (and cooked!) It will be a treasure for years to come. I'm about to do my third--this past year.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, how cool! AND Thai food to boot? So jealous!! xoxoox Love you!!
ReplyDeleteThat is just wonderful!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That must be such a thrill to hold your own publication. A few years ago I wrote a family recipe book to give to my family and close friend. It is a lot of work.Hope you share those recipes with us.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! And, somehow it is just too appropriate, in an amusing kind of way, to have Tai take-out to celebrate! I have always guessed we would have great fun together, Bonnie; now, I'm convinced! Your book looks wonderful. Did the author sign it?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Bonnie... That is FABULOUS.. I'm proud of you...
