Southern Snowbabies

As snow blankets the south, some folks feel betrayed.  After all, they live in the south because of it's warmth and gentle temperatures.  Of course, not all southerners feel that way.  Lily is quite happy to have a yard full (and a city full) of snow.

Charlotte is a little less impressed.  After all, this is her first winter having just arrived in July.  She seems quite happy to just observe her big sister cavorting about in the strange white ground covering.

And, after a morning in the snow, a girl needs a hefty brunch of mom's pancakes to warm her up.

And Charlotte, quite proud of herself for sitting alone, still longs for teeth.

  5. Now, if that isn't precious, I don't know what is! I love the joy on Lily's face! And, I am a fan of Charlotte's stocking cap... looks so soft and beautiful, matching her sweet little features so well! Ahhh... They remind us to appreciate the moments, the here and now. Hope you have a wonderful day, Bonnie. Tanna

  7. Cute! Are these your neices? Interesting the name Charlotte! Yes I remember the many snowplows that took care of the roads up there. Nothing like that here even though supposedly they bought more plows. It is frozen solid. Saw a pic on the news of a man skating on a parking lot in ice skates! Sounds like below freezing temps throughout the week, unusual for here.

We remember the Chicago winter 78-79 when we had responsibility for shoveling at two houses and that included the roofs! Snow at intersections was piled higher than the cars. Sounds like you are getting more.

Those pics, btw, are great. You're really good with your new(ish) toy!

  12. DISCLAIMER: The photos of Lily and Charlotte were taken by their parents. I just "borrowed" them. I would, however, like to be close enough to capture them on my camera.
