Saturday

This past week brought:

A long, leisurely lunch with my dear "Old Same" sister/friend who is always there to listen to me and support me.  And she came with this pretty potted primrose to brighten up a cloudy and blustery day.

No new snow outside my kitchen window.

A happy Oliver with all four paws on pavement instead of ice.

Plenty of time in my reading chair with a good book.

Many visits with you, my blogging friends.  I've enjoyed your posts and the comments you've left on mine.

Thank you!

See you on Monday.

  1. I love primroses!!! Rain is pattering on my roof this morning but it is much better than snow. Our Oliver, too, is glad not to find snow underfoot. The garden is so much more fun without that white stuff!

  4. Actually, I'm like Sandra, I've heard of primrose but have never seen one and they are quite lovely, yes?
I hope you enjoy your time in that chair reading a good book; do you have one to share? My mom suggested a book to me titled, Rose in a STorm...a story by Jon Katz. Rose is a dog so there's a suggestion if need be. I can't wait to get into it.
    Enjoy a day of whatever!

  6. There is something special about the early primroses. They really are such brave little plants. They bloom brightly and dare the elements to take them down. How can you not love them? It sounds like you had a good visit and that the weather has finally quieted down. I hope the good weather holds for the weekend. Blessings...Mary

  31. What a perfect weekend!! In Toronto we had a serious warm up and all the snow was gone (which my dog loved, too) and now we're in the midst of another storm. Sigh.

  32. Those primroses are beautiful, but I am so lovin' those little colored lights over your kitchen window!! They just scram "happy"! Oliver looks very handsome sitting so regally for his photo. We have enjoyed unusually warm weather this weekend! Enjoyed is the operative word here. ;) Have a wonderful day... Tanna
