Spring Cleaning

The time has come to throw open the windows and throw out the dust bunnies.  When the sun shines, the bunnies play.  It isn't a pretty sight!!  Oh, I've been spring cleaning for quite awhile now.  I started with the refrigerator and freezer--cleaning it out by eating it up.  The pantry joined in that little party.  Now, before I restock both, I want to clean them from top to bottom.

Once the dust bunnies are chased back to their "warren", I want the windows washed.  And, once the windows are washed, the closets, basement, attic and garage will be lined up for their turn.  Where shall I turn?  Why to "More Hands Maids".   I'm not sure what they charge for their work but imagine the cost of gas to get them here from their 713 area code (Houston, Texas to be exact) will be a pretty penny!!

Oh well, a girl can dream!

  1. It is nice to chase away winter's dirt and dust!!! At least we're not dragging carpets outside to clean and we don't have to deal with coal dust!!!!

Don't you just LOVE a clean house!!! LOVE that smell!

  3. I'm not sure how politically correct the name of this firm is, but it does suggest good help where you might most need it. Keep dreaming.

  4. I do not like to clean.....even though I had a small cleaning business when my first 3 children were young. The ladies I cleaned for would tell me how nice it was to come home to a clean house! I'm still dreaming for that day =)

  6. Oh! Why did you remind me that its time for a good spring clean!? In Cayman, loads of people still have domestic helpers...in fact, maybe one of my friends can send their helper my way. They may not be as efficient as the more hands maids but I bet they can get the job done :)

    Good luck!

  14. That car is wild. If you lived closer we could split the cost of transporting them to our homes. The house will be fresh and have a lovely smell when it is all done. That is my mantra till it all is done. I also find it helps to leave one small corner as it is, so I have visible proof of the work that has been done elsewhere. Have a great day, Bonnie. Blessings...Mary

  16. Don't you just love to have a spic and span house? Our cleaning ladies have been coming here for 11 years now...every other week. They are a mother daughter team and they are honestly like family.

  19. I think Spring cleaning is a therapeutic exercise. We once had housekeeping service come monthly and I always felt so guilty having someone else clean after me. It sounds like you have a good system and the motivation to do this job yourself.

  20. I could use about 4 springs worth of spring cleaning! I love having a cleaning house too - especially clean windows to let see the green grass better.
