The Wedding

I had to turn down my invitation to The Wedding because all of my hats are so out of date.  Instead, I'll be watching the event (at least some of it) on the telly and eating bean soup.  Do you think bean soup will be on the wedding dinner menu?

Wishing all the best to William and Kate.  To all of you, I wish a good weekend.

  1. It's 2:15 in the morning for me, and I am sitting here with a plate of maple/pecan scones and a pot of Earl Grey. I am most excited about this event. With all the horrible things happening in the world, it's nice to have something beautiful and happy to focus on.

Enjoy your bean soup...maybe not a wedding menu item, but delicious nonetheless.

    Blessings,
    Patti

  7. It was lovely, I though :) And I'm sure the bean soup would fit right in at Her Majesty's tea party!

  9. I hope you have a great weekend as well :-). Bean soup sounds fine to me. The breakfast menu, while very British, missed a few of my breakfast foods. Blessings...Mary

  10. Hi Bonnie, Too bad you couldn't make it to the big wedding... Darn--I would have bought you a new bonnet....

I didn't wake up for the wedding (since it was about 3-4 am here)--but I've seen quite a bit of it on TV this morning.

Kate's dress is awesome. LOVE it...... She looks like such a 'down-to-earth' gal.. Wonder if she has any idea what she has gotten herself into??????? ha

Bean soup???? I rather doubt it.... ha

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  11. Alas, I missed all the festivities -- although we came "here" (to England) somehow our invitation must have arrived after we left and so we spent wedding morning getting our car and driving to our bed and breakfast!!

Am catching up with it on the internet, however!

  12. I'm thinking Prince Harry would get a kick out of your soup choice, but maybe not so much the Queen! LOVED every minute of the wedding. It was definitely a "feel good" event!

  13. Well, if bean soup ISN'T on the menu, then they're missing out.

  14. Well, maybe not bean soup but they do eat beans for breakfast in England. I got to watch some before I headed to work. It was beautiful. Have a good weekend and I hope some better weather.

  15. Not sure about bean soup, though I'm guessing after all that faffle with the wedding they'll just want to sit down and eat soup infront of the tv! I watched it but they hymns took to long, loved the dress though :)

  16. Giggle, I had no intentions of getting up that early but something I ate caused me to be up so might as well turn on the telly. I so enjoyed the wedding and seeing those creative hats...

Hope you have a safe blessed weekend.

  19. No need to worry about a hat, Bonnie. Just find an old 33-1/3 rpm vinyl album and use hairpins to hold in on at an angle. From the pictures I've seen, the look is right in style!
