Our Favorite Farmer

I'd like you all to meet my favorite farmer at our farmer's market.  This is Linda.  She is the owner/farmer of LE Gardens.  We make an early spring trip down to her farm to purchase our flowers and herbs.  Linda always has a healthy selection to choose from.

She has a field of beautiful flowers to cut and bring to market on Saturdays.

At the southern end of the market, Linda is our first stop.

A beautiful array of mixed peppers is a market favorite.  My dear departed Hungarian friend, Judith, toted back seeds for special peppers from Hungary one year.  Linda planted them and they still appear in the summer market.

Sweet peppers.

Hot peppers.

Tasty little summer squash.

  11. Beautiful! My daughter grows tomatoes, cucumbers and several varieties of hot peppers in her little city garden. Fresh right from the patch is the best!

  12. I can see why you go for those flowers! They would be the first on my list too. I must confess that when I go to our farmers market, I tend to only buy flowers. Occasionally I will buy some produce, but I'm there for the flowers :)
