Morning Coffee

Yes, this is a post about a cup of coffee.  Just in case you'd like to invite me for coffee one day, this is how I like mine.  Freshly ground, strong, very hot, made light with half and half (slightly heated) in a Nicholas Mosse cup.  Other than that, I'm no trouble.

Hope you all have a delicious weekend.

  1. Everyone should have their morning coffee their way!!! I, too, like mine freshly ground and strongly brewed with half and half -- but we don't warm ours!!!

But since our 2 months in England I've been a tea girl!!! But it has to be perfect!!!

Your cup, however, has me yearning for coffee this morning!

  2. Bonnie,
I have become a Keurig (Breville)fan. I love it freshly ground too but this has been working for us for about 2 years now. I gave up cream.....

    Have a great weekend.

  4. LOL! If only I could have you over for coffee one day! I like mine strong, really really strong, with a touch of sugar-milk. I mix 1 spoon of sugar with some milk and heat it up then pour it into my coffee!

  6. Bonnie, come on over. The beans are in the grinder. I drink mine black, but I can certainly heat the cream for you. Will you bring some of the banana bread with you, please. Have a fabulous week-end. Hugs! Bonnie

  7. Yep, gotta heat the Half N Half or it will cool off the coffee. Come on down if you dare to Hot Lanta.

  13. Well, I'm not hankering after that coffee as much as I am the mug!!! You can hardly see the coffee because it's the same color as the inside of the mug! I like mine the same, but with sugar. Have a great weekend, bonnie!!!

  16. I like mine strong (think Louisiana), very hot, and nothing else in my favorite china mug with a nautical theme. We must be thinking alike. In the back of my mind I wondered if everyone had a favorite mug. Yours is adorable.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  17. I'm indulged with a cup of dark roasted, freshly ground, french pressed coffee with a breath of cream placed on my bedside table every day when I wake up!!! For 31 years my husband has done this for me and I cherish the gift.

  21. This is how I start my morning each day! You'd have to have fat-free half and half here though ;) I've become addicted to Caribou Coffee lately.

  22. Hi Bonnie, I love coffee also--but didn't start drinking it until I was in my 40's... AND--my hubby says that I still don't like the 'real' thing since I put cremora and splenda in mine!!!!! ha

Come and see me and I'll make you some YOUR way--but please bring your own cup!!!!! Ha
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  23. That is the second time I have heard of this potter. I love your cup and that you use real half and half, not the fat free stuff.

  24. Thanks for visiting me, Bonnie -- and the sky really WAS orange! The weird thing was that it only rained a little, but we did have thunder, it was a weird storm. I will tell my son that you said "nice looking photographer" and it will make his day. :) (You know how young guys are: Vain! LOL!) As for your post, I like my coffee too, a certain way, in a certain mug. I guess we all do. Wish I could invite you over for a cup!! Have a great weekend.
    Best,
    Gloria

  30. My mum and my Quay Lo must have their coffee first thing in the morning. My mum drinks the traditional Chinese Kopi-O and like it light and my Quay Lo, like you like strong coffee. He always said his heart will stop without coffee! LOL! I like strong coffee too but I usually drink my cup at tea time. I like to have a cup of strong English Breakfast tea in the morning. Enjoy your coffee your way for sure!
