Ah, Autumn

"Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." ~
                                                                     George Eliot

Well hello autumn!  You are my favorite season.

  2. Fall was my favorite seasons for years... now, I think it is getting edged out a tad by spring... because I know warm follows one and cold follows the other. I used to love the cold more... now, the warmth just feels better. ;)

I will say that fall always was time to start back to school and I LOVED that. I still call it the back-to-school smell... elicits excitement still... even after all these years.

beautiful photo. and, I'm trying to start the Knitters Anonymous chapter asap. LOL! blessings ~ tanna

  3. Dido on the love of colors and fresh air that Autumn brings.
Here in Montreal, we've witnessed our first colors. I better find some quality walking sessions before the leaves are gone ;o)

    Have a fabulous day Bonnie!

    Ciao for now,
    Claudia

  4. I love the quote! We're in the midst of a wonderful moment here in New England when everything is still completely green, it's nice to stretch out the season as long as possible.

  8. Gorgeous colors! I wonder when we'll see some of that here? Probably another month. Meanwhile, the rain is falling and we need it! This is the time to grow grass here. Have a good weekend!

  9. What a GORGEOUS tree!!!! Is it in your yard?

  10. Mine too! Wow, that tree is ablaze! Here we see only green, green everywhere...perhaps the slightest hint of color on one or two leaves. But that will change eventually. It's all the color that makes me love Autumn so much, and the crispness to the air (when it finally arrives here in So. Calif!)....

  16. IS this somewhere in the midwest, Bonnie? I remember our trees would turn color by oct when we lived in Wisconsin :) It has been fall like here with a ton of rain, but the trees remain green for now - Happy Fall, dear!

  20. Hi Bonnie....thanks for popping in! I love to have new visitors. :) I lived just outside of the Houston Heights (NW of Downtown Houston. The Heights has always been my favorite part of town...and the neighborhood I live in, Garden Oaks,is a close 2nd. The homes in my neighborhood were typically built in the 30-40's and are still the bungalow style.
MY favorite season is FALL too, but we don't get much of that here. Summer still seems to be going strong. It's 90 today but the light is different so that's how I know it's fall.....AND the pretty pictures of leave in the blogging world.
    Happy Fall Ya'll!

  21. I think you already know this, but I have a very difficult time with the ending of summer. While I can do early fall, mid-to-late fall, winter, and early-to-mid spring are beyond difficult for this Florida-blooded gal. So, while everyone else is all excited about the season change, I am rather lamenting it. However, at least the days here are still quite warm...upper 80's/low 90's. Nights are a bit cold (too cold for me), but at least I'm loving the days.

By the way, if you ever are interested in a movie I review and you are unable to find it, don't hesitate to ask to borrow mine. (Think Net Flix.) It's no big deal at all to toss a DVD in the mail, and I am more than willing to loan my movies to my friends.

    Blessings,
    Patti
