We fell off the wagon at dinner last evening. I'll tell you what we had on a later post. For now, I thought I'd distract you with a few random photos.
First, I'd really like to thank all of you who have encouraged me, given me tips and great feedback as I dipped my toes into the world of photography. You are valued consultants.
The Chicago Water Tower is now the official welcome center. It's original use was to pump water for fire fighters. Some purport it to be the only building left standing after the great Chicago fire. In fact, a number of buildings survived that fire.
An old barn in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. It sits on the road where one turns into a community of brand new homes. I hope it doesn't lose out to an upscale "authentic" Colonial home being built in it's place. It's a landmark for me.
The Colonial National Bank on the corner of Campbell and Jefferson in Roanoke, Virginia. My dentist was on the 7th floor.
Just window dressing!
The "Grand Old Lady's" clock tower at 9:07 a.m. You can set your watch by that clock.
