The Party!

January 19, 2012
held a promise of snow.
Would the party happen?
The guests were scattered
and in the snow's path.

Hopeful,
I prepared the table.

They made it!
Each birthday lady found a flowered bag
on the back of her chair
in which
to tote her party gifts home.

  24. Your party went better than mine. I had to plan the county Farm Bureau's Holiday dinner and meeting. I started with a count of 40 before I left for Hawaii, came home and on Wednesday, I had to knock the number down to 30. Friday night a grand total of ten showed up. The good part was we were all able to take home part of the wonderfully catered meal prepared for us. UGH!
