NOTHING TO WHINE ABOUT--WRIST UPDATE

it is now five days post fractured wrist.  saw the ortho dr on monday.  he'll see me again next mon.  we both hope no surgery will be needed.  


he personally fashioned me a designer cast.
i chose the blue
over
hot pink




i'm watching movies
and
reading


"mildred pierce" was very good



from the garden


the baker and his sous chef prepare meals


salmon hash and green beans


french toast


meat loaf


cheese crepes


wild mushroom pasta


carrot cake

most of the time, it's yogurt and fruit but that is even special when lovingly served.

i have been keeping up with all of you.  your posts keep me up-to-date and entertained.

  2. Looks like you are being taken care properly! You didn't want the hot pink?? Our Ellen had surgery on her R foot several years ago. I couldn't believe she chose bright orange! But, she loved it!

  4. Oh my goodness, you poor thing! I am just now reading this. How on earth did you do this? On Friday the 13th no less! Looks like you are being well cared for. Take it easy and let's hope there will be no need for surgery!

  7. When can your husband come over, pretty please? Perhaps when you are all healed...his cooking looks better than mine, it looks awesome!!! Has he ever worked in a restaurant, I know you call him The Baker....I will look forward to the story of just what happened to you when you are able to type better. I hope you are not in pain, Bonnie. I am praying that you do not need surgery and you will heal quickly.

  14. So sorry about your fractured wrist, all those little bones-I really hope you do not need surgery.
    Glad to see that you are being cared for by the appointed chefs, their food looks wonderful! Take care and I hope it heals quickly!

  23. That beats any "hospital" food I've ever seen!! ;) So glad you have The Baker and his special sous chef. And, yes, yogurt and fruit are treats when served with such love. I am hoping that blue cast gets the job done. blessings ~ tanna

  30. DANG! Totally missed that your wrist was fractured! So sorry about that, BUT it almost looks worth the pain to have all the incredibly delicious looking food served to you. I don't think that would happen to me if my wrist was hurt, so I am going to play it safe and keep it out of harm's way. Heal quickly!

    "Mildred Pierce" is such a wonderful movie. Joan Crawford is super in that role...but so is Ann Blyth!
