I'm not the superstitious sort but I took a tumble on Friday the 13th and fractured my left wrist.
I'm right handed but am discovering just how much I rely on "leftie". It took me a long time to type this post. I'll be checking in
with you but quietly for a bit.

oh no! Please take care and heal quickly, I will keep you in my thoughts,
ReplyDeleteHope it (the wrist) doesn't pain you too much during the healing process and hope that process is a short one.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear it! Take care and get better soon:@)
ReplyDeleteIf nothing else, Bonnie, you will find a new respect for those with disabilities. Everything will be a challenge for you. When I broke my ankle several years ago and had to fly the next day, I found a whole new meaning for helping those in wheelchairs. Take care. Maybe your time to chill and read more books...even though that will be a challenge. The Baker is in charge of the kitchen!!!
ReplyDeleteTough break! (Sorry, couldn't resist!) Heal quickly. Add ambidextrous to your talents.
ReplyDeleteOh no!! I am so sorry to hear about this. I will be praying for a speedy recovery. -Carla

Bonnie, I am so sorry! Just from my minor thumb surgery I came to realize how much we need both hands . I hope you enjoy a bit of a rest while you recover... and that the bones heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteOH NO!!!!! How did you fall?? Let me know all the details when you are able...how long till you are better?
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I hope you heal quickly. What sorts of foods are good for sprained wrists?

I am so sorry about your incident, Bonnie! You are so right... we use our non-dominant hand far more than we imagine, until we can't. I'll be saying prayers for your healing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and encouragement. I am relying on the tender mercies I have been afforded and I will be forever grateful. blessings ~ Tann
ReplyDeleteRemember to elevate your wrist especially these first couple of days.

ReplyDeleteSo, so sorry. It must be so frustrating and I hope you heal up fast.
ReplyDeleteOuch! Been there, done that. (but luckily with my left hand.) I actually broke mine the week before we went on a vacation in the Caribbean. :(
ReplyDeleteHang in there....
I am trying to type this with just my right hand, i lasted all the way to the word type. yikes. even something like a thumb or finger and we find out how much we need all our fingers/toes/arms.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm so sorry, Bonnie! Did you get the plate put in? I can't tell if you have a cast or just an immobilizer inside your sling. A good friend of mine fractured her right wrist last year and her left wrist this year! Her surgeon put in the plate both times.
ReplyDeleteI hope you heal quickly!
Goodness gracious! I do hope you heal up quickly. Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by to lend your encouragement. More than that, thank you for the love and prayers you've given to my mom. She has been so uplifted. =) And that means the world to me.
Ouch, that must have hurt! Hope you feel better very soon Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Mary
