Thanks!

Thanks to all of you who offered tips on how to produce non-mushy rice.  I'll be incorporating those tips when making my next fried rice dish.

I'm planning to put up some pesto for the coming winter.  I heard that another Polar Vortex is predicted.  I plan to be prepared.

Have a great weekend!

  5. Very humid here with plenty of rain. Wish the weather would balance out somehow, but I guess that's too much to ask.

  6. Yes that's what I read and the "word on the street"--another bad winter. Which makes me wonder about our hydrangeas. Maybe we should cover them over the winter. Will have to research. Can't miss them for a second summer!

  9. Florida could use a polar vortex this winter (no, not really) . It has been incredibly hot. Today's temp reached 100 degrees (ugh)
Make lots of summer pesto to store up for the winter.

  10. Delicious pesto in the winter will be welcome. I certainly hope the polar vortex decides not to show. Blessings, Catherine
